TWIST OF LEMON

Updated: Jan 24, 2021

Good beach bars make you think of retiring. Great ones make you actually do it.

Come and hang out in one of Ninefoot's favorite bars, preferably in the sand, waving palm trees and the sound of the sea in the background.

What we dream of..

When it comes to holidays in the Caribbean, the common perception is that it’s all about beaches. But while it is true that the USP of many islands is palm-shaded sands lapped by a gin-clear bath-warm sea, the region offers so much more.

So come in, take a look at our selection and feel free to add your own suggestion.

THIS MONTH'S TOP 3

Karel's Beach Bar is the hotspot on the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire.

Karel's Beach Bar,

Bonaire

Karel’s Beach Bar is the culmination of four generations and 85 years of hard work, great food and excellent service. Known for its seafood, This Bar is a landmark to anyone that has visited Bonaire before.

Floyd's Pelican Bar. A bar, shack, built on a sandbar literally in the middle of the sea and one of the best places to visit in Jamaica.

Pelican Bar,

Jamaica

When a place claims to have "the best cocktails in the sea" it's easy to be cynical. But Pelican Bar really could have the best, because it really is in the sea. No Internet or TVs--- just thatched roof, seats and booze.

Da Conch Shack, featured on '1000 Places To See Before You Die". With a laid-back vibe and beachfront location, a perfect ambiance and a beautiful sunset.

Da Conch Shack,

Turks and Caicos Islands

With more seafood than you can stare at and more rum than you can throw down, Da Conch Shack in Provo, Turks and Caicos stakes a solid claim for the greatest beach bar in the British West Indies.
